Ark-La-Tex Emergency Management Alliance

Emergency managers and representatives from local, regional and state emergency management and response agencies met this week in the first meeting of the Ark-La-Tex Emergency Management Alliance (EMA) since 2006. The Ark-La-Tex EMA is a multi-state organization of emergency preparedness and response practitioners with the common goal of improving public safety during emergencies. Bringing together government agencies, industries and associations in northeast Texas, northwest Louisiana and southwest Arkansas, the Ark-La-Tex EMA seeks to improve information sharing and coordinate response to disasters affecting the tri-state region by providing a forum for its members to work together in addressing common issues.
