  • Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training Scheduled

    Do you know what to do if a tornado is approaching your home? Are you interested in learning how local emergency response agencies work together in local disasters? The Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will be offering a free twenty hour Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course at the Shreveport Fire and Training Academy starting April 6, 2010 and running for three additional Tuesday nights from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and all training material including a light rescue bag is offered free of charge. The training will take place at the Shreveport Fire and Training Academy located at 6440 Greenwood Road in Shreveport.

The Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will be offering a free twenty hour Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course at the Bossier Emergency Operations Center located at 1511 Doctors Drive in Bossier City starting January 5, 2010 and running for three additional Tuesday nights from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

  • NWLa MRC Coordinator Makes Presentation to U.S. Surgeon General

    Terry L. Strain, Coordinator of the Northwest Louisiana Medical Reserve Corps (a unit of the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness) is making a presentation to U.S. Surgeon General Rear Admiral Kenneth Moritsugu this week at the Medical Reserve Corps National Leadership and Training Conference in Providence, RI. Strain is a Physician Assistant-Certified, and Registered Respiratory Therapist who played a major role in medical care of evacuees during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

  • Bossier Parish Community College Memorandum of Understanding
