Tornado Poster Contest Winners Announced (5/2/2006)
  The 17th annual Tornado Safety Poster Contest was held during APRIL for all 5th graders throughout the two-parish area by the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. Watch vs. Warning (2/21/2006)
  The National Weather Service continually monitors atmospheric conditions across the United States. A tornado watch or severe thunderstorm watch is issued by the storm prediction center in Norman, Oklahoma, when severe thunderstorms or tornadoes are most likely to occur. Caddo/Bossier Medical Reserve Corps Heading in a New Direction (11/9/2005)
  In response to the outpouring of volunteer support in the days following September 11, 2001, President George W. Bush created the USA Freedom Corps. That national initiative is made up of several components, among them AmeriCorps, the Peace Corps, and Citizen Corps. Citizen Corps volunteers, in particular, work to make sure their families, homes, and communities are prepared in the event of terrorism, crime, and disasters of all kinds.
